“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17
As we recall all God accomplished this week 2,000 years ago, we should be both humbled and grateful. Jesus dealt with much adversity during His 3-year ministry; He knew rejection and persecution throughout those years of serving man. Yet, in this one week, often referred to as Passion Week, He faced suffering in such an intense and heartbreaking way: from betrayal of His friend and disciple, Judas, to false accusations and court trials, to Roman beatings, to death on the cross, and MUCH, MUCH more. We see the perseverance of Christ, enduring it all because of His love - His deep, never ending, unfathomable love for us!
Dear reader, sister, and friend, Jesus’s redeeming love is available for you. If you are stuck in a sin, if you feel no way out, if your happiness is depleted and you want true and lasting joy, or if you simply wish to have the peace that passes all understanding, I have good news for you. 2,000 years ago, Jesus made it possible for you to receive all of this, all the time. Call out to Him! Thank Him for this week, this opportunity, to reflect on all He did and all He desires to do for you. He LOVES you. He SEES you. He WANTS you!
If you are living in God-given joy right now, thank the Lord for this season, and praise Him for all He endured on your and my behalf! He is worthy to be praised!
God bless you! <3
