Fear: Live Fearlessly ~

     The meaning of fearless is straightforward; it’s to lack or to be without fear. However, though it is a simple meaning, for many, to live fearlessly is anything but easy.

     God wants fear to not have a foothold in our lives because He has BIG things in store for us. That may sound daunting; most prefer not to be stretched, pushed out of our comfort zone, or to have to face our fears head on. But God would not ask you to do anything He knows you’re not capable of doing in His power.

     When we don’t allow fear to rule us, we give God back His rightful place on the throne of our hearts and as the authority in our lives. The enemy no longer has power over us by playing on our fears. It is not that fear will no longer be a struggle or temptation, but it will not rule us, and we will accomplish God’s GREAT plans for us INSPITE of fear. With God, we can not only face our fear, but we can overcome it.

      In Sadie Robertson’s book: Live she mentions how she felt called to face fear to declare that it no longer had a hold on her. As she was flying in a plane to skydive, she wrote on how the workers attempted to scare them about all the possible bad outcomes, later she reflects on a connection she drew: “Those guys were simply teasing us, but when I thought about it later, I realized they were doing exactly what fear does. Fear taunts us and tries to intimidate us. But when our hearts are established in the freedom God has given us, then we can laugh at the fear of the future.”

     God is the answer to living fearlessly. He will not taunt you or intimidate you into doing things. Living fearlessly takes letting go of the false security fear offers and placing your life into the hands of our omniscient and omnipotent God!

     It’s time to be bold, speak up, stand out, and live to the fullest. Live fearless!
